Domestic Energy Performance Certificates (EPC)
SPECIALISTS IN PROVIDING DOMESTIC EPC CERTIFICATION TO LANDLORDS THROUGHOUT THE UK
What is a Domestic EPC?
An EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) is an energy efficiency audit on a domestic property and must be provided during the sale or lease of any existing domestic property. If no EPC is in existence or provided at the point of exchange the lease or sale cannot be finalised.
Domestic properties also fall under the requirements of the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) regulations. Therefore, improvements must be made to properties that have a rating of ‘F’ or ‘G’ before they can be leased.
Upon construction EPCs are also required for all new build domestic properties KTIC can produce these alongside any requirements for SAP calculations.

Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES)
Since April 2018, landlords in the UK are required to take actions to improve the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of their building if it is below an E, due to the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) regulations. In fact, if a new lease is being taken up, landlords cannot rent out their property until they have improved its energy efficiency to meet the minimum standards. At KTIC, we can advise on MEES regulations and help landlords produce an enhanced recommendation report to show the quickest, most cost-effective ways to improve their EPC rating and comply with the MEES regulations. Whether you need advice or a specific guidance for a quotation, our team is here to help. So, contact us today to learn more about how we can assist you in improving your EPC rating and comply with MEES regulations.
